Venom and Zombieland: Double Tap Director Up For Sony’s Uncharted

Sony’s Uncharted movie’s long list of ex-directors is the reason why we have a problem with trusting men. The movie might have just as many exes as Taylor Swift. And even then, Miss Swift is so over it.

The directors that have long come and go include David O.Russell, Neil Burger, Dan Trachtenberg and Travis Knight

Knight’s departure was said to be due to conflicting filming schedules with beloved Spider-Man, Tom Holland. Since then, Sony has been on the hunt for a new director and currently has their eyes set on director of Venom and Zombieland: Double Tap, Ruben Fleischer (via Deadline).

Uncharted is a top-selling action-adventure Playstation video game created by Naughty Dog. It has over 41 million copies sold and has had a rocky history in producing a movie – making it a top priority of Sony’s. The current draft of the screenplay is by Rafe Judkins and the Iron Man team of Art Marcum & Matt Holloway.

Tom Holland will be playing Nathan Drake in this live-action game adaptation film alongside Mark Wahlberg as Sully.

Will Fleischer be Uncharted‘s knight in shining armour? Well, we’ll see. Fingers crossed that Fleischer stays because if he walks, we may not get the 2020 release we hoped for.
