Rick & Morty Writer To Pen Script For Ant-Man 3

It seems another Rick and Morty writer will be joining the MCU.

First, we had Jessica Gao, writer of Rick and Morty’s famous Pickle Rick episode, who was pulled on board to develop the upcoming She-Hulk show on Disney+. Now The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that another Rick and Morty writer Jeff Loveness will be working on Ant-Man 3.

According to THR, Loveness signed onto the film as its writer prior to Hollywood shutting down due to COVID-19 and is already working on the script while in quarantine. Peyton Reed will return once again to direct the third instalment of Ant-Man, and the film’s stars Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Evangeline Lily (Hope van Dyne), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), and Michelle Pfeiffer (Janet van Dyne) are all expected to make a return.

Loveness’ recent works include an episode from the fourth season of Rick and Morty, the RPG-themed Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty. Aside from that, Loveness has also worked as a staff writer for the American chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live and have written superhero comic books for Marvel.

As Ant-Man 3 has yet to receive an official announcement, a release date has yet to be set. However, Disney has recently announced the release dates for a number of its upcoming films, including Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.
