The Avengers have a new extra-terrestrial threat to face, as the Xenomorphs make their way to Earth. It’s an all-out battle Aliens Vs Avengers in Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s new Marvel comic, with the fate of Earth hanging in the balance.
The comic series will be split into four parts, and is set in a new timeline, with the first issue arriving on shelves on 24 July, just days before the premiere of Alien: Romulus. And it’ll do the one thing that the Alien franchise has never done: putting the Xenomorphs finally on Earth to unleash destruction. It’s all led to this: Xenomorphs reach Earth! The perfect organism meets a planet of superhumans. Who will be first to fall?
“Probably one of the coolest things about the project is how we’ve found really fun ways to ‘Avengerize’ Aliens and ‘alien-up’ Avengers,” Hickman said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I think fans will be surprised at how elegantly some of those things fit together. It really turned out to be a chocolate-and-peanut-butter situation.”
