After plying his trade as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars universe for the past half-decade, Oscar Isaac has decided to jump over to Disney’s other multi-billion dollar franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Moon Knight.
According to Deadline, the 41-year-old actor is in talks to star as lead character Marc Spector in the upcoming Moon Knight TV series on Disney+. While his role isn’t quite locked yet,The Umbrella Academy writer and developer Jeremy Slater is confirmed to be taking on the series development.
Marvel Studios is also in search of a director for the series, as well as the rest of the principal cast. No announcement for the commencement of filming has been made yet.
In other Marvel-related Disney+ news, Tatiana Maslany will be starring as She-Hulk in the upcoming Marvel series of the same name, while Samuel L. Jackson may be returning to reprise his role as Nick Fury in an upcoming series based on his character.
Meanwhile, WandaVision will premiere on the streamer sometime in December 2020.
