Disney+’s long-awaited Rogue One spin-off prequel series focusing on hero Cassian Andor has hit a few bumps in the road over the course of its development – a change of director, and of course a worldwide pandemic that put a pause on what was meant to be an early 2020 start.
However, it seems like the show has finally begun filming in London, according to actor Diego Luna. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Luna revealed that he’s begun work on the series and is excited to spend more time with the character.
“It’s nice to go into a story you already know the ending,” Luna said. “Now you can take the nuances and the layers. I think it’s fun to do something that isn’t just about getting to the end. It’s about delaying that.”
The Cassian Andor focused prequel series will reunite Luna with Alan Tudyk, who is reprising his role as K-2SO on the series and sees a cast that includes Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Stellan Skarsgård, and Kyle Soller. Genevieve O’Reilly is also coming back to play Mon Mothma.
