Up until now, we’re still pretty much in the dark about when the upcoming Disney+ show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will take place. Now we know that it will be set right after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Recently, a series of leaked set photos by Murphy’s Universe has revealed that the timeline for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is sometime during the 2023 G20 Summit in New York — the year in which Endgame took place in. More specifically, after old Steve Rogers handed his iconic vibranium shield over to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) set to help him in that transitional period.
Interestingly, though Spider-Man: Far From Home did take place after Endgame, it didn’t really show just how different or negatively-impacted the world was after The Snap. Hopefully The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will offer a more realistic perspective on things, given its more pulp espionage tone.
How exactly Marvel’s Dynamic Duo will fare in the post-Avengers: Endgame world will be interesting. We do know that they will be facing off against the likes of U.S. Agent and possibly Isaiah Bradley, which could point to the central theme of the show being Sam or Bucky taking on the mantle of Captain America.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere sometime in August 2020 on Disney+.

Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
