ROG’s upgraded gaming handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally X20, has now arrived in Singapore, bringing the same powerful mobile performance, now with a crisp OLED screen and smooth anti-drift TMR joysticks.

First announced earlier in the year as part of the ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR Glasses, the special 20th anniversary edition of ROG’s Xbox gaming handheld will now be available as a standalone purchase, providing some notable hardware upgrades compared to its 2025 predecessor.
Perhaps the biggest boost comes in the form of screen fidelity, as the Xbox Ally X20 now comes packed with a 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED screen, offering a larger screen and slimmer bezels compared to past console iterations. With up to 1400 nits of HDR brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification, and Dolby Vision support, gamers can now witness their favourite titles running in more lifelike colours and deeper blacks, with the experience supplemented by its 120Hz refresh rate with FreeSync Premium Pro, meaning games don’t just look richer, but run smoothly too.
It’s not all about the screen, though, as the way users engage in their games has also been upgraded, since the handheld now comes with upgraded thumbsticks featuring TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) sensors. This technology, which uses magnetic sensors to read the position of the stick to avoid moving parts rubbing together, helps to eliminate stick drift caused by wear and tear on traditional joysticks. TMR joysticks are designed for accuracy and longevity and offer more precision compared to Hall Effect sensors, making them perfect for the competitive player.

All these new features are supplemented by the same powerful AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with AMD Radeon 890M Graphics, allowing players to engage in all manner of titles spanning indie hits to the newest AAA releases with ease.
Rounding off the ROG Xbox Ally X20’s new features are its upgraded impulse rumble triggers, which help to make games more immersive, a new rotatable D-pad that can seamlessly swap between its standard four-way input and more precise eight-way input, and, of course, a flashy new see-through black shell design with intricate gold accents.
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 will be available from December 2026 and is priced at S$2,099. Pre-orders for the handheld will open on 16 November, with those who pre-order through the ASUS Online Store and the ASUS Exclusive Store at Funan also receiving a free 30cm ROG SAGA OMNI Plush Pal (worth S$54.90), whilst stocks last.
