First Looks At U.S. Agent From The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

We finally get our first look at Wyatt Russell as John Walker donning the Captain America costume and shield as production is currently underway for Marvel’s upcoming The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV series for Disney+.

The series was first announced at the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and will be Marvel Studios’ very first TV series. It will star Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie as Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier, and Sam Wilson aka Falcon respectively.

A little later during D-23 2019, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige confirmed that the series will also introduce Walker aka the U.S. Agent to fans.

Walker first made his debut in the Marvel comic books as the Super Patriot, a morally flexible foil to Steve Roger’s Captain America. He later took on the mantle of Captain America before becoming the U.S. Agent.

However, in the MCU, Sam Wilson is the one expected to take on the mantle of Captain America as Steve Rogers handed him his shield near the end of Avengers: Endgame

According to reports, it seems that the US government isn’t too pleased with the prospect of Sam becoming the next Captain America, and instead chooses to have Walker take on the title.

With that said, it remains to be seen if the shield Walker is seen sporting in the leaked images is the same shield given to Sam. Perhaps it is the exact same shield that the U.S. government took – perhaps by force – and gave to Walker, or they might have created a new one of their own.

We can only wait till closer to the release of the Disney+ series to possible learn more about how Russell’s character plays into the show.
