Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has just been released in theatres around the world but we have already learnt that Disney is planning to bring the nine films to the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format in March 2020, in the Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga box set.
The news has been confirmed via Best Buy Canada’s website which gave the nine-movie Star Wars Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray box set a March 31, 2020 release date. The box set will include every episode in the Skywalker saga, all the way from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace to the latest Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The listing has since been removed.
Unfortunately, the box set will not include spin-offs such as Rogue One or Solo.
Seeing as how The Rise of Skywalker will be included together with The Skywalker Saga box set, it stands to reason that the film’s physical home video release should be on March 31, 2020, as well. Its digital release is expected to come earlier in the same month.
Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray box set will come with 27-discs and will set you back by US$329.
