Monster Hunter World Teams Up With Horizon Zero Dawn Once More For Iceborne

Capcom is no stranger to collaborations with other IPs for its games. Monster Hunter World is one of the titles that is rife with these such collaborations. And in the advent of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, we’ll be seeing a familiar face return to the fray.

The hugely popular monster-slaying game has linked up once more with the brilliant folks at Guerrilla Games to bring the critically-acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn back to the fold in a new collaboration DLC, sometime after Iceborne is released.

The first collab with Horizon Zero Dawn debuted when MHW first launched in January 2018, which allowed Hunters to farm materials for an Aloy armour set, as well as a Watcher Palico armour set. The upcoming crossover should come as no surprise, as Horizon Zero Dawn‘s DLC – The Frozen Wilds – featured an icy tundra that the main protagonist Aloy traversed as part of the story.

As such, it’s fitting that we’ll see her appear in some form on the blizzard-stricken Hoarfrost Reach. Imagine wearing her armour set, going toe-to-toe against the likes of Tigrex, Barrioth, and the cool (heh) new Elder Dragon, Velkhana.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases on September 6 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
