It has only been about three months since the Super Mario RPG remake was revealed during an earlier Nintendo Direct, and the Japanese gaming giants are back once again on the latest showcase to give players even more tantalising snippets of the gameplay that awaits.
Set for a 17 November release, there was plenty of action on display with the latest gameplay trailer. Battles are going to be a huge part of the adventure, and for players who have mastered the art of precise timing, expect to do extra damage or negate the attacks of the enemy even further with timed button presses.
Of course, sometimes, more effort is required to beat the odds, and with the various characters involved, there are also going to be lots of combos, including Triple Moves, that Mario and the gang can pull off to deal heavy damage in Super Mario RPG.
As for players who are all about optimising their approach to winning, vanquished bosses in Super Mario RPG can be brought to the fight once again using Post-Game Boss Rematches. This allows players to fine-tune their strategies and show off their skills by coming out on top once again.
This isn’t the only remake that Mario fans can get excited about, as Nintendo also revealed the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door set for 2024. With these two games and even more in the pipeline, fans of the Italian plumber will be kept busy for quite a while, and that can only be a good thing.
