The new The Falcon and the Winter Soldier promo has gotten fans buzzing. Not only did it see the two always-bickering superheroes team up together to honour Captain America’s legacy, but it also gave fans a sneak peek of the show’s villain’s costume.
Returning from Captain America: Civil War where he divided the Avengers, Baron Zemo is back possibly to take revenge on the supers and annihilate them all at once. In the promo, viewers see Zemo put on his purple mask while saying superheroes “cannot be allowed to exist”.
This is a much more complete look of Zemo who previously wasn’t wearing a mask at all in his first appearance. The villain will continue to be played by Daniel Brüh who brought the character to life in Captain America: Civil War.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres on 19 March 2021 on Disney+.
