‘Percy Jackson’ Disney+ Series Sets December Premiere, Unveils Greek Gods In New Teaser

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has finally set a release date. The highly anticipated Disney+ series will debut with two episodes on 20 December. Subsequent episodes will release weekly.

Percy Jackson is based on the mega-selling novels by Rick Riordan. The series will follow the story of the first book, The Lightning Thief, where titular character Percy is just coming to terms with his newfound divine power. Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt and it is up to Percy to find it and restore order to Olympus. Of course, Percy doesn’t set out on this adventure of a lifetime on his own. His friends Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood join in on his journey.
