Apple is whipping up one appetiser after another. Ahead of its “Pro and Tell” MacBook event, the tech giant has already announced the new eighth-gen iPad Mini, the M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac, and software is next.

Apple Creator Studio, specifically. The creative app is getting a series of integrated editing tools and AI-powered features, starting with built-in MotionVFX for Final Cut Pro that offers an extensive library of transitions, templates, graphics, and tools for colour grading, rotoscoping, and tracking. Alongside direct Content Hub access to Apple-curated stock photos, videos, and backgrounds, users can also expect a more streamlined workflow, including new keyframe editing options and the ability to combine edits across multiple apps.
Pixelmator Pro, meanwhile, is introducing Generate Fill, which works similarly to Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop – select an area of an image, describe what to add or change, and AI will do the rest. For music editors and hobbyists, a new AI assistant in Logic Pro “automatically analyses, classifies, and tags added sounds so creators can easily search their entire collection or drag in a loop to surface matching audio” via a combination of Apple and OpenAI models, per the former.
Other notable additions include a fresh Liquid Glass look, a redesigned Browser that gathers loops, instruments, and Splice library into one spot, Voice Memos Studio Sound, which automatically reduces ambient noise in iPhone recordings and uploads them to Logic Pro, and Producer Packs with clips and sounds from celebrated producers, such as 20-time Grammy winner Sergio George.

As for productivity apps, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers are getting their own AI assistants to help users create presentations, write documents, and crunch data. The Apple Creator Studio updates will roll out this November for free for existing subscribers, with new users paying S$17.89 per month or S$179 per year to access Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Logic Pro across Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
