Rogue Squadron, the Star Wars feature project due to be directed by Wonder Woman filmmaker Patty Jenkins, is delayed.
The reason for the delay is due to Jenkins’ busy schedule. The director was meant to start production for the movie in 2022 but had to push the movie back due to other commitments.
Aside from Rogue Squadron, the director is also working on Wonder Woman 3 and a Cleopatra movie, both due to star Gal Gadot.
Currently, the Star Wars movie is set for a 23 December 2022 release, but with productions delayed, it could see a delayed release date too. Rogue Squadron is the first feature since the end of the Skywalker Trilogy and will feature a new generation of starfighter pilots as they earn their wings and risk their lives in a boundary-pushing, high-speed thrill-ride, and move the saga into the future era of the galaxy.
Other Star Wars movies in development include a Taika Waititi and a Kevin Feige directed movie. In the TV world, The Book of Boba Fett is premiering 29 December 2021, followed by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka and season three of The Mandalorian.
