Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi Starts Production Marking Return Of Ewan McGregor & Hayden Christensen

Back in December 2020, Disney showed off the might of their Star Wars IP by announcing 10 new TV shows and movies.

Now, one of those shows, Obi-Wan Kenobi, has moved on to full production. The series will see Ewan McGregor reprise his role as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

This time round, the production will be adding a whole new roster of talents which include:

  • Moses Ingram
  • Joel Edgerton
  • Bonnie Piesse
  • Kumail Nanjiani
  • Indira Varma
  • Rupert Friend
  • O’Shea Jackson Jr.
  • Sung Kang
  • Simone Kessell
  • Benny Safdie

If a certain franchise is not going to give Sung Kang justice, maybe this new Obi-Wan series will. Notably, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will also reprise their roles as Owen and Beru from “Revenge of the Sith” which is a nice nod to George Lucas’ legacy.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Can’t wait!

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” will be available exclusively on Disney+. Obviously.
