Wonder Woman 3 is officially happening with Gal Gadot returning as Diana Prince and Patty Jenkins back to write and direct the concluding entry in the heroine’s trilogy.
The announcement comes on the heels of the successful release of Wonder Woman 1984 on Christmas Day. The film saw major success, earning US$16.7 million from 2,100 North American theatres and nearly half of HBO Max’s retail subscribers on its opening weekend – the best weekend to date given pandemic times.
“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real-life Wonder Women — Gal and Patty — who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,” Warner Bros. chief Toby Emmerich said in a statement on Sunday.
Whilst not much else is known about Wonder Woman 3 – one thing is for sure, the work of Jenkins will never disappoint or seize to send a message of love, faith and hope.
In addition to Wonder Woman 3, Jenkins is also working on a spin-off series centred around the Amazons of Themyscira.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
