The first look image of the biggest collab in a Marvel movie ever is here. Yup, we’re talking about Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool for the highly anticipated Deadpool 3.
Reynolds and Jackman both took to Instagram to post a photo of themselves in their respective costumes on their Stories. The actors cheekily captioned the photo, “Don’t Blink”.
In the photo, Deadpool and Wolverine are seen walking side by side. What’s particularly exciting is that Jackman is sporting Wolverine’s fan-favourite yellow and blue costume seen in the X-Men comics. Despite playing the character for over two decades, Jackman has never worn the iconic and comic-accurate yellow suit and mask.
Behind-the-scene set photos suggest that the image was from a scene where the Merc with a Mouth and Logan are fighting on a beach.
Deadpool 3 is directed by Shawn Levy and welcomes Hugh Jackman back in his role as Wolverine. Reynolds previously mentioned that Jackman’s Wolverine this time around is “completely new” too. The movie will also mark Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra.
Also returning to the Deadpool franchise are Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna as couple Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa and Stefan Kapicic as Colossus. Deadpool 3 will also be Succession actor Matthew Macfadyen and The Crown actress Emma Corrin Marvel debuts.
The movie’s synopsis currently reads:
“Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.”
Deadpool 3 premieres on 8 November 2024.
