The four-time Emmy nominee’s role is still under wraps as of this moment but there have been some speculations that she could either be Queen Veranke, the Skrull Empress or Lyja, a Skrull with the ability to shapeshift into any human or animal form.

Clarke will be joined by previously announced Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn who both will be reprising their role in the MCU as Nick Fury and Skrull Talos, respectively. Alongside them are Olivia Colman and Kingsley Ben-Adir, who the latter will play as the yet-to-be-named antagonist in the series.

Secret Invasion was announced as a development property last year as one of Marvel’s many planned titles for Disney+. The series is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens called the Skrulls, who is set on infiltrating Earth for years. This group was last seen in the cinematic form in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, in Captain Marvel as well as the series finale of WandaVision.

However, as the series is still in progress as of the moment, no official date of release has been announced. While we wait for the release of Secret Invasion, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can look forward to watching Disney+‘s ongoing Marvel series such as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier hitting its episode finale this coming Friday, 23 April.
