Chris Hemsworth Rumoured To Have Renewed His Contract For Future MCU Movies

Phase 3 of the MCU may have ended, but the same cannot be said of Chris Hemsworth‘s run as the God of Thunder…or so it seems.

According to That Hashtag Show, word on the grapevine is that the Thor actor has renewed his contract for several more movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), although details remain scarce on that front.

What has been gleaned from Avengers: Endgame, however, does hint that the Norse deity is still some ways off retiring from the multiverse, with the end of the movie suggesting a possible crossover with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Other speculation, meanwhile, revolves around the potential return of a standalone adventure. In an earlier report, Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson has revealed that a pitch for what seems to be a fourth Thor film appeared to be underway, which means the theory does hold some water. Even if it proves to be accurate, fans should expect a temporary time window before the film starts production, as director Taika Waititi continues his work on a live-action Akira adaptation.

With Spider-Man: Far From Home set to usher in a new era of superheroes next month, more information about the future of MCU is expected to be on the horizon. For the time being, we can only hypothesise on the road ahead, which would hopefully still include the likes of Chris Hemsworth, especially since he’s proven to be one of the most consistent fan favourites – with good reason.
