“I am Vinz, Vinz Clortho, Keymaster of Gozer.”
Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) has finally arrived as a follow-up to Hasbro’s Wave 1 of Ghostbusters Plasma Series figures, in the form of a PulseCon Exclusive 2-pack. Instead of coming as a solo figure though, we have a fancy box set of two 6-inch scale action figures, of a Terror Dog and Louis Tully with helmet accessory.
The packaging follows the same treatment across Hasbro’s Plasma Series toy line, as seen with Spengler’s 1:1 scale Neutrona Wand too.
Upon sliding off the outer sleeve of the box to reveal the action figures, fans can appreciate the artwork on the left side depicting Louis standing in front of a door (on the sleeve), and in shock from the Terror Dog bursting through the doorway (on the box).
Remember that fateful night? It was when mild-mannered accountant Louis Tully decided to throw a party, but things got wild, and he ended up being chased down by a vicious Terror Dog through the streets of New York.
The Terror Dog included in this 2-pack is pretty much identical to the “Build-A-Figure” Vinz Clortho that came with Wave 1 of the Plasma Series figures, check it out for a more detailed look at the Terror Dog and the rest of the Ghostbusters crew.
Taking a closer look at Louis’ figure, the detail of his untidy clothing is very movie-accurate, down to his blank, possessed look and red eyes. The headgear accessory fits well over the figure’s head.
Here’s a clip from Ghostbusters (1984) to remind us all of the scene when Egon Spengler was using the headgear on Louis to run some tests.
The headgear even doubles off as a protective helmet when Louis rides the Terror Dog.
The Ghostbusters Plasma Series Tully’s Terrible Night 2-Pack retails at S$99.99 (US$49.99) and will hit store shelves on 28 September 2020.
If you prefer something with more of a classic look, Hasbro recently re-released the Classic Kenner “The Real Ghostbusters” figures too.
