Netflix’s Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy has exceeded expectations ever since the premiere of its first installment, Siege, back in July. No doubt many have already binged the six-episode miniseries to completion by now, and are already hungering for the next stage of the robots in disguise’s saga.
The streamer recently dropped a teaser trailer for Earthrise, the middle part of the trilogy. Things are looking grim not only for Optimus Prime and the Autobots as they square off against the nomadic and wild Mercenaries in outer space, but also for Megatron and his Decepticons back in Cybertron, which is slowly deteriorating as a result of the missing Allspark.
Here’s the synopsis for Earthrise:
With the Allspark gone, Megatron is forced to confront the harsh reality that his Decepticons are trapped on a dying Cybertron. Meanwhile, lost in the darkest reaches of space, Optimus Prime and his team embark on a desperate mission, unexpectedly running into … the spacefaring Mercenaries.
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy – Earthrise is slated to premiere “soon” on Netflix, though we’re expecting sometime in early 2021 given how recent Siege released on the streamer.
