The Marvel Villainous Board Game Lets You Become Thanos

Marvel Comics has been slowly expanding its influence across the multiverse of multimedia, especially in the tabletop scene. Marvel United by CMON is a testament to that, as is the upcoming Marvel Villainous: Infinite Power designed by Prospero Hall.

Announced by Ravensburger Games (who in the same week also announced Wonder Woman: Challenge of the Amazons), Marvel Villainous: Infinite Power is a standalone spinoff of the original Villainous game. It puts 2-4 players in the shoes of iconic Marvel villains such as Thanos, Ultron and Hela, duking it out to see who will reign supreme as the ultimate big bad of the Marvel universe.

Each villain will have their own unique powers and abilities that allow them to gain progress within their own domain, as well as slow down the progress of other villains. Gameplay ranges between 40 to 80 minutes depending on which of the various game modes players pick, but regardless of the mode, it would probably feel like a snap (geddit?) with how much fun it looks.

Marvel Villainous: Infinite Power launches sometime in August 2020, pre-orders starting in July. It will retail for US$34.99.
