Collaboration is here. That’s right, Adidas has teamed up with Game of Thrones to bring you fans some Westeros-themed sneakers as part of their Ultra Boost lineup this 2019. Previously, we got a sneak peek of the sneakers across the internet, but they’re going to be a thing very soon.
In the buildup to the premiere of the eight and final season of the HBO fantasy epic, six Adidas Ultra Boost sneakers, each design inspired by a faction, House or even character, will be made available sometime later this year. Aside from the colour scheme, each design also comes with a tag at the ankle area, showcasing the slogan for that particular faction.
The Houses present are Stark (Grey/Black), Lannister (Red/Gold), and Targaryen (Black/Red), with the Night’s Watch (Black/Light Blue), the White Walkers (Light Blue/Black) and Danaerys Targaryen (yes, Dany gets her own shoe) (White/Silver). While there is no official confirmation of the collection’s launch, it’s safe to assume that they’ll be made available around the premiere date of Game of Thrones Season 8 on April 15. There is no price stated yet, but you can assume that it’ll probably be in the hundreds, given the novelty of these sneakers.
The last set of Adidas collaborations with a pop culture icon is with Dragonball Z, which released last year.
