With Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swinging into theatres today, the next thing to check off the list would be the its follow-up, Beyond the Spider-verse, which is slated for a 29 March 2024 release.

But it seems the threequel isn’t the only web-slinging project lined up for Sony Pictures, as producer Amy Pascal has teased a Spider-Woman and live-action Miles Morales movie in the works. “You’ll see all of it. It’s all happening,” she shared at the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse premiere in Los Angeles (via Variety).

While details are, as expected, very lean, fellow producer Avi Arad gave assurance that a Spider-Woman animated feature will come “sooner than you expect.” He added, “I cannot tell you yet, but it’s coming.”

The two titles join a fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Zendaya on the future slate, but development on it is currently halted due to the ongoing writers strike. “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” said Pascal. “We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature different art styles for each dimension, and run for 136 minutes on the big screen. It sees the return of Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy respectively, as well as an ensemble cast starring Oscar Isaac (Miguel O’ Hara aka Spider-Man 2099), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker), Issa Rae (Spider-Woman Jessica Drew), Daniel Kaluuya (Spider-Punk), Jason Schwartzman (Spot), and more.

“After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence,” reads the synopsis for the film. “But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.”
