With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, even with movie theatres reopening, most people will still try to have as little close contact with crowds as possible. Shaw Theatres now offers Google Pay for movie ticket purchases so that film fans can skip the queues and books seats from the comfort of their own homes.
The partnership with the Google Pay Singapore App comes at an apt timing whereby the safety guidelines put in place during these trying times encourage contactless transactions. By downloading the app onto your mobile phones, ticket transactions can be completed in just a few quick taps.
You can choose your seat, Shaw Theatres location and pay all in one place. Next, all you have to do is to present your phone with the digital tickets at the selected theatre. Moreover, the convenience fee of S$1.50 per transaction will be waived (terms and conditions apply) from 13 to 31 August 2020.
With the slate of exciting movie coming up in the upcoming months such as Tenet, The New Mutants, Mulan, The Wretched, and Military Wives, the Shaw Theatres Google Pay ticket purchases will provide film buffs with the ease and safety they need to arrange for their next movie outing.
