During the recent Nintendo Direct showcase on Thursday, Princess Peach took the spotlight. Nintendo has officially revealed Princess Peach: Showtime!, a game set to captivate players when it launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on 22 March 2024.

The game is set in the Sparkle Theater, which unfortunately falls prey to the menacing Wicked Grape and his gang, the Sour Bunch. It’s up to Peach, alongside the theatre’s guardian Stella, to reclaim the spotlight and save the day.
With Stella’s help, Peach can switch into various roles like sword fighter, kung-fu master, detective, and pastry chef to defeat the intruders and rescue the production. Each outfit not only brings a new look but also unique abilities. Nintendo hints at even more transformations to come, offering a blend of platforming, puzzle-solving, and brawling gameplay that promises to keep things fresh.
According to Nintendo, “In this adventure, the gameplay changes depending on Peach’s role, and even more surprising transformations are waiting to be revealed.”
Fans might recall Princess Peach’s previous solo adventures in Super Princess Peach from 2005 and 1990’s Princess Toadstool’s Castle Run. Her resurgence in Princess Peach: Showtime! comes on the heels of her celebrated appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, where she teamed up with Mario, Toad, and Luigi to save the Mushroom Kingdom.
