Netflix has introduced a new feature called Moments, aimed at enhancing viewer engagement by allowing users to bookmark, save, and share their favourite scenes from the platform’s vast array of series and movies. Launched globally on Monday as reported by Variety, this feature is available on iOS devices with plans to expand to Android in the coming weeks.
Moments enables Netflix subscribers to capture memorable snippets from any show or film and easily share these with friends and family across social media platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook. This initiative, part of Netflix’s broader strategy to integrate more social interactions around its content, encourages users to engage in discussions about their favourite Netflix moments.

The functionality of Moments is straightforward. Users can select a scene, save it by pressing the ‘moments’ button at the bottom of their screen, and then revisit these scenes anytime under the ‘My Netflix’ tab. Additionally, if a user opts to rewatch an episode or film, they can choose to start from any previously bookmarked scene.
This feature also enhances social connectivity. For instance, when a user shares a clip on a platform like Instagram, their followers can click on the post and be directed straight to the scene in question within their own Netflix app, creating a seamless viewing experience. This move by Netflix positions the streaming giant to compete more directly with platforms like YouTube, which has long dominated the video clip-sharing space.
Netflix’s decision to introduce Moments coincides with the launch of their new brand campaign, It’s So Good. The campaign showcases pop culture moments from various Netflix series, with promotions featuring celebrities like Cardi B, Simone Biles, and Giancarlo Esposito sharing their personal favourite scenes.
As Moments rolls out to users worldwide, it marks an exciting development for Netflix subscribers, offering them a new way to experience and share the content they love. This feature is set to redefine how audiences interact with film and television series, making every moment count.
