National Treasure: Edge of History has been cancelled by Disney+ after just one season.
The first season of National Treasure: Edge of History premiered in December 2022 and followed a young treasure hunter named Jess Morales, played by Lisette Olivera. Morales is a resourceful woman who sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to find out more about her own family’s mysterious past, as well as save a lost Pan-American treasure.
Olivera is joined by Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker, Lyndon Smith, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha, who played Riley Poole in the National Treasure film franchise. Nicolas Cage was set to reprise his role as a special guest sometime later along in the series, prior to the news of the cancellation.
This is just one of the many Disney+ shows that have been canceled after one or two seasons. Shows like Big Shot, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Diary of a Future President and Turner & Hooch are among the list.
No reason were given for the cancellation but fans can look forward to a third National Treasure film.
