Mortal Kombat 11 Serves Up More Fatalities With Joker, Terminator, And Spawn

An interesting line-up is in store for Mortal Kombat 11 enthusiasts, as Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealm Studios have gone off the rails with their full roster for the upcoming Kombat Pack downloadable content.

Joining the already-released fighter duo of Shang Tsung and Nightwolf is a host of familiar faces, including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator T-800, Todd McFarlene’s Spawn, and DC Comics’ Crown Prince of Crime, Joker. Series regular Sindel is set to join in the kombat (hah) as well, with many of these additions lending confirmation to an old leak that revealed the then-unannounced characters.

Each of them are tagged to a specific launch date – the Terminator-800 is due for arrival on October 8, 2019 while the sinister Outworld Queen Sindel will make her appearance on November 26. Meanwhile, the dappy-looking Joker is all geared up to bring more madness to the game on January 28, 2020, with the cool antihero-turned-superhero Spawn rounding up the package. Not mentioned is Evil Dead‘s Ash, who was hinted in a trailer launched back in May.

Mortal Kombat 11‘s Kombat Pack will be made available to players at US$39.99, which also packs in new skins for existing Kombatants, and one-week early access to up-and-coming content. With the Mortal Kombat reboot movie heading into filming territory later this year in preparation for its 2021 release, the spaced-out launch window between these new members is sure to be handy in building up hype.

Now that Jax, Liu Kang, Mileena, and Raiden have been cast for the upcoming title, alongside martial arts action star Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, there’s no better time to be a Mortal Kombat fan. The quirky bonus in-game characters are only a plus, and it’d be exciting to see just how far the team’s whackiness can go with their follow-up Kombat Packs, assuming that there are more on the way.
