Monster Hunter Rise Gets Second Demo This March

The Monster Hunter game universe is set to expand this March with the arrival of Monster Hunter Rise, but fans will be given yet another fresh glimpse of the upcoming title before committing to the monster-slaying cause. Following the release of its first demo at the start of the year, the Nintendo Switch-exclusive is welcoming a second demo, which can be accessed via the Nintendo eShop from 11 March 2021.

Titled Monster Hunter Rise Demo Version 2, this version builds upon the original demo to introduce a new, challenging quest that pits players against the game’s signature beast Magnamalo. All quests from the previous run have also been included, with future updates made available to players for free after its official launch on 26 March. The first of these is slated to drop at the end of April, carrying in tow a host of new content such as the Chameleos monster and a HR cap raise.

The monster-hunting adventure doesn’t stop there, however. Hot on the heels of Monster Hunter Rise is RPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruins, which has locked in a final worldwide release date of 9 July 2021.

Capcom’s popular franchise isn’t just thriving in the gaming scene. Paul W.S. Anderson’s live-action movie adaptation and its planned sequel have opened up the Monster Hunter world to the silver screen, while Monster Hunter World: The Board Game will bring all that excitement to tabletop sessions.
