Michael Keaton is donning the cape once again.
After 30 years, the actor will be answering the Batsignal in HBO Max’s Batgirl film. The Batgirl movie focuses on the young Barbara Gordon and stars In the Heights actress Leslie Grace as the titular character.

Prior to Batgirl, Keaton played the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman and 1992 Batman Returns and will also be playing the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Flash movie.
News of the 70-year-old actor reprising his role first came in April 2021. Unofficial set photos of the actor started making waves in June and it wasn’t until October when co-star and Flash actor Ezra Miller shared a glimpse of Keaton’s Batman at DC FanDome.
Currently, there’s no official synopsis or release date set for HBO Max’s Batgirl movie. Aside from Keaton and Grace, Batgirl will also see Brendan Fraser as Firefly and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the project.
