Marvel’s Spider-Man Swings Into Action on September 7!

It’s been one of the most persistent questions on PlayStation gamers’ minds these past two years, when we will finally get a proper release date for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man?

The prayers have been answered – September 7.

Ahead of a Game Informer cover story, community director James Stevenson and Insomniac Games took to the PlayStation Blog and shared the great news with the gaming world.

Revealing the final box art, showing off the web-slinger in his glorious form, we also got more news regarding the digital deluxe and collector’s edition of the game.

The Digital Deluxe edition of the game will include the game as well as new story chapters with post-launch DLC – Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. You will be getting three new chapters each with new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man and the studio will reveal more nearing release.

The Collector’s Edition will include all of the digital content from the Digital Deluxe Edition, a Steelbook case featuring the iconic white spider, a Mini Artbook from Titan Books, as well as an awesome Marvel’s Spider-Man statue by Gentle Giant.

Pay heed to the statue, for it has not been fully revealed yet. Insomniac Games is teasing something special that good ol Spidey is perched on, and we can’t wait to find out what it is!

As long as you are an early adopter, you can look forward to a Spidey-Suit Pack featuring Spider-Punk, as well as a couple suits to be revealed later in the summer. Gamers will also get the Spider-Drone gadget, a PSN avatar, an original PS4 theme designed by renowned comic book artist Adi Granov, and even just some extra skill points to unlock faster web-swinging sooner!

Are you excited yet to jump into the iconic suit of the friendly, neighbourhood Spider-Man? September 7 cannot come soon enough!

And for Xbox gamers, we are sorry for your loss:
