**Warning: MAJOR spoilers for Deadpool 3 ahead.**
The Deadpool 3 set has been buzzing with activity, revealing some intriguing possibilities for the upcoming film. New leaked photos from the Mirror suggest that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine isn’t the only X-Men character making a comeback. These images hint at the inclusion of Sabretooth, a notable X-Men villain, in an action-packed scene.
One of the leaked photos shows Wolverine, portrayed by Jackman, in a snowy forest battle against Sabretooth. The second image is even more startling, depicting Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, carrying Sabretooth’s severed head. This dramatic portrayal indicates a potentially short-lived appearance for Sabretooth in the MCU.
Sabretooth has a history in the X-Men movie franchise, with Tyler Mane playing the role in the 2000 X-Men movie and Liev Schreiber taking over in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, it’s unclear from the current photos if either actor is reprising their role in Deadpool 3.
Another interesting development is the reported presence of Toad, another X-Men character, on the set. Previously portrayed by Ray Park in 2000 and Evan Jonigkeit in 2014, no photos of Toad have surfaced online.
The film also boasts cameos from other notable actors, including Jennifer Garner as Elektra and returning Deadpool franchise stars Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, Morena Baccarin, and Stefan Kapicic.
Deadpool 3 will introduce Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin to the Marvel universe. Despite the recent Hollywood actors’ strike, Disney remains committed to releasing the film, now scheduled for 26 July 2024, after a delay from its initial release date. It stands as the sole MCU movie set for release next year.
Director Shawn Levy has urged fans to take circulating rumors with a grain of caution, stating, “some of those rumors are true, and some of them aren’t”. As anticipation builds, these latest developments offer a tantalising glimpse into what Deadpool 3 might have in store.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to release in theaters on 26 July 2024.
