We all know The Walt Disney Corporation is ridiculously strict with their secrets so when a mysterious script for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker showed up on eBay, the world went bananas.

Recently, during his interview with Good Morning America, JJ Abrams revealed that that script belonged to an unnamed cast member. And now we’ve learned that John Boyega has come forward to admit that it was his script.

In Boyega’s interview with Good Morning America, he explained that in the process of moving apartments, he had left the script under the bed and it was discovered by the person who was cleaning the apartment weeks later.

“I was like, I will leave it under my bed and when I wake up the next morning, I will take it and then move. But then my boys came over and we started partying a little bit. And then the script, it just stayed there. And a few weeks after, this cleaner comes in, finds this script and puts it on eBay for like £65. The person didn’t know the true value,” he said.

Despite Boyega’s careless mistake, Disney managed to shut down the sale and recover the script. He joked: “It was scary, I got calls from every official. Even Mickey Mouse called me, ‘What did you do?!'”

Unfortunately, nobody managed to snag the insanely discounted original script, but you can still get your hands on some awesome Star Wars merch from LEGO, Adidas or Williams Sonoma.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in cinemas 19 December.
