We might still have to wait quite a while till the release of Marvel’s Loki TV series on Disney+ but we do know that filming for the spin-off series is currently underway.
The TV series will star not only Tom Hiddleston as the titular main character of his own TV series but also Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino, though it wasn’t made clear what their roles will be in the show.
Now, photos directly from the set of Loki have surfaced online, courtesy of Twitter user @Cosmic and it gives us our very first look at our two new additions to the MCU.
In the images, Wilson seems to be wearing what seems to be a raincoat while walking alongside Hiddleston and a number of guards. Though not crystal clear, he seems to be a member of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a group that tries to govern the multiverse.
A photo of Sophia Di Martino was also posted, with her sporting what looks to be a tight green bodysuit with a gold neckline, very similar to the colour scheme of Hiddleston’s Loki. Hence it is highly likely that she will be playing Lady Loki, and perhaps Loki will be working alongside the TVA to try and track her down.
We know from Avengers: Endgame that the Loki here isn’t the same Loki we saw in Thor: Ragnarok, nor Avengers: Infinity War. This Loki from 2012 had never gone through any redemption arc, never properly made up with his brother, and is still very much a trickster so we can only imagine how nicely he will play with others in his own TV show.
Hopefully, more information will be released in time that’ll give us a better idea of what to expect from Disney+’s Loki.
Loki is slated to release on Disney+ sometime in Spring 2021.
