Despite being relegated to being just a digital event this year, this Gamescom 2020 still managed to deliver big on the goods. The Opening Night Live stream, hosted by The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley, was arguably the meatiest single digital gaming convention this year, running for well over two hours, with almost no breaks in between.
Not that we’re complaining, of course. With an event this huge, there was something for everyone here. The titles presented ranged from AAA titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War, Dragon Age 4, and Star Wars: Squadrons, to indies, such as Surgeon Simulator 2, 12 Minutes, and the hugely-popular Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
