Digital Gamescom 2020 Set To Take Place From 27-30 August

2020 has seen countless event cancellations, including some on our shores. However, the show must go on, at least for Gamescom 2020. After its cancellation back in April, the now digital-only show will take place over a few days. Fans can look forward to daily shows from 27-30 August.

Produced in partnership with IGN, the proceedings will kick off with Opening Night Live on the first day. This will be followed by Daily Shows hosted by Michael Swain on 28 and 29 August.

These will cover the highlights of each day, as well as touch on the various esports, cosplay, and other Gamescom 2020 news. On 29 August, Awesome Indies will shift the focus onto “the most original and exciting games coming out of the indie developer scene.”

The last day will see a Best of Show event, which will bring us through all the big moments for Gamescom 2020. The Gamescom awards and cosplay competition will also take place then.

This new iteration of Gamescom 2020 will be produced across multiple locations in both the US and Germany, and can be caught live on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. More details can be found on the show’s official site.
