As its title suggest, the movie will centre on the demon train arc of the manga series, which properly introduces us to Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps.

The film is based on the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by author Gotouge Koyoharu and follows the kindhearted Kamado Tanjiro on his quest to become a demon slayer and find a way to turn his sister back into a human, after an attack by a demon caused her to turn into one.

The series received an anime adaptation in 2019 by Ufotable (Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works)  which was very well received for not only its plot and characters but also its stunning animation quality and music. It won Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year as well as a number of other awards.

A Demon Slayer mobile and PlayStation game is also currently in production.
