The first season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba might be over but fans will not have to wait all that long to see their favourite demon slayers on screen. It’s been announced the series’ first anime film Demon Slayer: Infinity Train will be hitting theatres on 16 October 2020.
A new trailer and poster were also revealed, giving fans a little glimpse at what’s to come.
As its title suggest, the movie will centre on the demon train arc of the manga series, which properly introduces us to Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps.
The film is based on the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by author Gotouge Koyoharu and follows the kindhearted Kamado Tanjiro on his quest to become a demon slayer and find a way to turn his sister back into a human, after an attack by a demon caused her to turn into one.
The series received an anime adaptation in 2019 by Ufotable (Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works) which was very well received for not only its plot and characters but also its stunning animation quality and music. It won Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year as well as a number of other awards.
