What if we told you that a new animated series from Marvel is coming to you very soon?
Marvel’s What If…? series is reportedly coming to Disney+ this August (via IGN). This release comes after Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series on June 9 and the much anticipated Black Widow movie premiering on 9 July.
The animated series will explore hypothetical stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) including Peggy Carter becoming Captain Britain and T’Challa (aka Black Panther) being abducted by the Reavers that took Peter Quill (Star Lord).
The series will also see the ever so fabulous Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) amongst many other Marvel stars including Hayley Atwell (Agent Peggy Carter), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) return to voice their respective characters.
The late Chadwick Boseman is also included in the cast list for his voicing of T’Challa.
Following What If…?‘s release this August is the premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on 3 September and The Eternals on 5 November 2021. For a full list of upcoming MCU films check out this article.
