What better way is there to show off your love for classic horror icons than by wearing them on your feet.
Food lovers have the KFC crocs, gamers have something retro-inspired going on for them, and now horror fans will get the limited edition custom Nike Dunk Low by streetwear designer Warren Lotas. The colourway on this silhouette pays tribute to two of the biggest boogiemen in horror movie history: Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger.
The sneaker features a white leather upper that’s wrapped with green suede overlays, along with red laces that are reminiscent of Freddy Krueger’s signature green and red striped shirt. The Nike logo has also been incorporated with Jason Vorhees’ iconic mask in gruesome fashion.
Who would have thought these two horror icons would be teaming up in such a way after going head to head in 2003’s Freddy vs Jason?
According to Lotas’ Instagram post announcing the sneakers, only 2,000 pairs will be made available and it’ll release on 2 August 2020. He also notes that if the sneakers do not ship by 15 October, he will be “giving everyone $100 + the shoes.”
You can find the shoes on Lotas’ official website for US$300.
