Mike Flanagan’s ‘The Midnight Club’ Netflix Series Receives Chilling Trailer

Mike Flanagan‘s latest horror Netflix series The Midnight Club has set a date for its first meeting.

Announced as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week celebration, the horror series is set to premiere on the streamer on 7 October. A teaser trailer was also released.

Based on the Christopher Pike YA novel, The Midnight Club centres on a tight-knit group of terminally ill young adults who live in a hospice run by a mysterious doctor. Every night at midnight, the group meets up to tell each other spooky stories. They make a deal: when the first of the group dies, that person will try to communicate with the others from beyond the grave.

This series is Flanagan’s fourth horror with Netflix, having previously created The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass. His two Haunting series were based on classic books by Shirley Jackson and Henry James respectively.

Horror legend Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street) plays the doctor overseeing the kids. Repeat Flanagan collaborators Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan, Annarah Cymone, and Igby Rigney all feature in the cast.
