The Fantastic Four Heads To Wakanda In ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Clip; Russo Brothers Tease Clues Behind 4 Released Trailers

The fourth teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has been released, and this time, it aptly features The Fantastic Four, specifically Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing, who comes face-to-face with the warriors of Wakanda.

The minute-long teaser, which was similarly shown before select screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, but has now been released on YouTube, starts with the same sombre tone seen in past trailers for Steve Rogers, Thor and the X-Men, with Letitia Wright’s Shuri, who took over the mantle of the Black Panther following Chadwick Boseman’s passing in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, setting the scene with an emotional narration, saying, “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me.”

“A king has his duties, to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine,” her narration continues, with the clip interspersed with scenes of Namor (Tenoch Huerta), now decked out in his comic-accurate black suit, with his cousin, Namora (Mabel Cadena), also making a brief appearance. It seems that Namor, who played a more antagonistic role in Wakanda Forever, might team up with the Wakandans and other MCU heroes this time around.

The teaser then takes a comedic turn with the appearance of The Thing, who humorously responds to M’Baku’s (Winston Duke) formal introduction of “King M’Baku of Wakanda” with “Ben. Yancy Street between Broome and Grand”. Apart from The Thing, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm and Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm don’t make an appearance in the teaser, although the entire team is set to make an appearance in the upcoming film.

Following the teaser’s release, Avengers: Doomsday directors the Russo Brothers also posted a rather cryptic message on Instagram, alluding that the four teasers aren’t just teasers after all, and that they are “stories” and “clues”, although to what end remains a mystery for now. Perhaps these clips aren’t even from Avengers: Doomsday at all, or maybe the important details lie in the mysterious Avengers symbol seen at the end of each video, it all remains to be seen as the much anticipated blockbuster inches its way towards its 18 December 2026 release.
