‘ARC Raiders’ Celebrates 12M Sales Milestone By Gifting Players A Golden Pickaxe

Embark Studios’ extraction shooter ARC Raiders is continuing its winning streak, as the title has now hit the 12 million sales milestone, with those who stuck with the game since launch even receiving a special golden pickaxe as a special thank you.

“Since launch we’ve seen over 12 million Raiders ascend from Speranza to raid the Rust Belt!” wrote Embark Studios in a post on the game’s social media pages, with sites like GamesMarket providing a more specific number of 12.4 million copies sold in a mere 10 weeks since ARC Raiders’ launch on 30 October 2025, alongside “960,000 concurrent players on all platforms in January 2026”.

To celebrate the achievement, the studio has also crafted a special gift for “any Raider who logged in since launch till 23:59 CET, 13 Jan” in the form of the limited edition Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool, which will be made available for applicable players via an update that just dropped.

Set in a lethal future Earth ravaged by a mysterious mechanised threat known as ARC, ARC Raiders sees players taking on the role of “Raiders” residents forced into the underground city of Toledo, as they travel topside to collect resources to survive. The game follows the popular extraction shooter PvPvE format, meaning that players have to face both AI-controlled enemies as well as other Raiders while trying to extract, with every death potentially leading to a complete loss of all their collected resources and equipment.

The game is also Embark Studio’s second major release following 2023’s The Finals, a first-person PvP arena shooter, which makes ARC Raiders‘ performance even more impressive, as the title has managed to hold its ground against much larger games by more experienced teams, such as EA’s Battlefield 6, even sitting comfortably at second place on Steam’s global top-selling list among the likes of heavy-hitters like Counter-Strike 2 and PUBG.
