‘The Boys’ Spin-Off ‘Gen V’ Not Recasting Chance Perdomo, Re-crafts Season 2

The producers of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys spin-off show, Gen V, released an official statement on social media following the recent death of actor Chance Perdomo, who played charming Godolkin University student Andre Anderson, with magnetism powers.

Production on Season 2 was halted after the tragic news, with a statement being released stating that Perdomo’s role would not be recast, and the crew would take “the time and space to re-craft our season 2 storylines as we begin production in May.”

The cast and crew took to social media to share their condolences, and promised to “honour Chance and his legacy this season,” and are “determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory.” Fans praised the move, and hoped the show would give the character a worthy send-off, as production resumes.

Gen V follows young adult superheroes at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where they put their moral boundaries to the test by competing for the university’s top ranking and a chance to join The Seven, Vought International’s elite superhero team.
