We finally have a release date for Season 4 of The Boys — on Homelander’s birthday, Amazon revealed that the series would return in June this year, accompanied by new stills of Antony Starr’s Homelander celebrating.
A trailer for Season 4 dropped in December 2023, with the gang in a tight spot. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) is not having a good time at all, and the season will add Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for playing Negan in The Walking Dead, to its cast.
A new still released shows Homelander and Victoria Neuman waving to an adoring crowd, taking the advice of the political strategist who advised him to position himself as the city’s savior. It looks like we’ll be getting plenty of political intrigue, action, and nefarious schemes in Season 4, if this is anything to go by.
The synopsis for the new season reads:
“In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
The Boys Season 4 will release on Amazon Prime on 13 June 2024.
