Amazon Prime Video’s animated superhero series Invincible has added The Boys actor Jack Quaid to its voice cast for Season 5, where he will portray the thief-turned-hero Gravitator.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman made the announcement at Prime Video’s Annecy showcase, where he also shared a clip of the character. Gravitator, whose real name is Chris, is an intellectually gifted engineer who used his technological skills for thievery, only to be reformed after an encounter with the superhero Invincible.
Quaid’s new role in Invincible also marks another high-profile voice role in the star’s line-up recently, as he will also appear in Santa Monica Studios’ upcoming RPG spin-off, God of War Laufey, as companion character Phranque, a sentient gelatinous cube that aids Laufey through her journey in the afterlife. The actor is also known for past voice roles, including Clark Kent in My Adventures with Superman, and Dirhael in Monolith Productions’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
In addition, Kirkman also announced that the series has been renewed for a sixth season, which makes it the longest-running animated series to date for Prime Video. “This renewal is as much a testament to the passion of our fans as it is to the talented teams bringing the series to life, including longtime supervising directors Shaun O’Neill and Dan Duncan, who have done so much behind the scenes to make Invincible,” he said. “There’s still so much story left to tell, and I can’t wait for fans to see what’s ahead in seasons 5, 6, and beyond.”
Season 5 of Invincible is slated for release in 2027 and will see the return of its ensemble cast of characters, including Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Sandra Oh as Deborah “Debbie” Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, and Christian Convery as Oliver Grayson.
