Hide Your Grandmas, Jensen Ackles Returns As Soldier Boy In ‘Gen V’ Teaser

Jensen Ackles is returning as Soldier Boy in The Boys new spin-off series, Gen V.

In a teaser released for episode six, Soldier Boy is seen staring directly at the camera and growling “Surprise motherf*****s!” The caption playfully tells fans to hide their grandmas, poking fun at the character’s love for milfs.

While it is long known that Ackles will make a cameo as the superhero in Gen V, it wasn’t revealed when he will show up. This teaser clearly indicates that he will be appearing in the upcoming sixth episode.

The last we saw Soldier Boy was in season three of The Boys. The superhero was attempting to destroy Homelander (Antony Starr) who was revealed to be his son. The battle turned quite ugly and ended with Grace Mallory (Laila Robins) putting Soldier Boy back on ice. With no confirmation of whether he is dead or alive, fans remained hopeful that the character will return.

We don’t know how Soldier Boy becomes involved with Gen V, but since much of his character arc was centered on his revenge against his former team Payback, we could expect to see more of that story continued in the spin-off.

Soldier Boy’s cameo is just one of the many fans will see in Gen V. Other cameos include The Deep (Chace Crawford), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) and Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne).

With all these cameos – and the fact that Gen V coincides with season three of The Boys – there is a possibility of a crossover. If not for this season, potentially some time down the road should Gen V receive a second season.

Gen V is set in the diabolical world of The Boys and expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes.

Episode six of Gen V premieres on 20 October.
