This year’s NFL Super Bowl saw the San Francisco 49ers going against the Kansas City Chiefs. Though exciting, let us move our focus onto the many movie trailers that were dropped during this year’s Super Bowl. This includes trailers for movies such as Fast & Furious 9, which gave us a look at John Cena’s introduction to the franchise, as well as trailers for other movies such as Top Gun: Maverick and Mulan.
Without further ado, let us take a look at the many trailers that were released during the Super Bowl 2020.
A Quiet Place Part II
John Krasinki’s sequel to the 2018 horror film opens up with a quick flashback showing the last few moments humanity had before terror struck. Krasinski will be reprising his role as Lee Abbott for the sequel along with his wife Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott.
Mulan
Disney’s final trailer for Mulan revealed nothing new but did give us many more awesome action sequences with the titular Hua Mulan fighting for both her family and her country.
Fast & Furious 9
There was a quick 30-second spot released during the NFL game which included a lot of ridiculous and over-the-top action sequences we have come to love from the series, as well a quick shot of Han, who is most definitely not dead.
Top Gun: Maverick
It seems Tom Cruise has made an enemy in the latest Top Gun: Maverick trailer as Miles Teller who plays Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, son of Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, can be heard saying “My Dad believed in you, I’m not going to make the same mistake.” We can only wait to see how this animosity plays out in the film.
Black Widow
While Black Widow didn’t get a new trailer during the Super Bowl, it did get a new 30-second spot which comes with several cool moments, including some new scenes with the Taskmaster.
Minions 2
If you have ever wondered what Gru’s life was like as a tiny child then this movie will be for you. The trailer has everything we’d expect from a Minions movie: nonsensical Minion speech, explosions, and… tighty whities.
No Time To Die
This just might be the last time we’ll see Daniel Craig taking on the role of James Bond so let’s savour it while we still can. In the latest 30-second spot, we see Craig bringing on enough plane action to rival even Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick.
Sonic the Hedgehog
“I race the fastest in the world. He makes us all look slow,” said Allyson Felix, gold medal sprinter, in the Sonic The Hedgehog Super Bowl spot. We wonder who could that mysterious athlete be. Also, have you checked out the movie’s sweet new retro-inspired theme song?
