Star Wars: Ahsoka is releasing in two weeks and to ramp up fan excitement, Disney+ has dropped six character posters featuring the heroes and villains of the highly anticipated series.
The posters reveal the main characters of the series including Ahsoka Tano herself (Rosario Dawson), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno), Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and Baylon Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson).
Ahsoka is written and executive produced by Dave Filoni, the man behind two fan-favourite Star Wars animated series, The Clone Wars and Rebels. Fun fact: Filoni actually developed Ahsoka way before he worked on The Mandalorian.
The series is led by Dawson, who first portrayed the former Jedi Knight in season two of The Mandalorian. It also adds Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma.
Rounding out the cast are Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Nelson Lee as Senator Xiono, Maurise Irvin as Senator Mawood, Jacqueline Antaramian as Senator Rodrigo, Erica Duke as Gran Senator, David Tennant as the voice of droid Huyang and Hayden Christensen who will reprise his role as Darth Vader.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka will follow the titular character as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. It premieres on Disney+ on 23 August 2023.
